    Annapurna Base Camp and Mardi Himal Trekking is one of the best classical trekking in the Annapurna conservation area of Nepal. Trekking start from the low land region (827 meter – Pokhara) and gets slowly to high land which makes easy acclimatization before reaching a maximum altitude of 4,200 meters, Annapurna Base Camp. Variant cultures of the variant ethnic group of Nepal can touch directly by spending nights at their local teahouses and their homestay accommodation. Panoramic Himalayan views are every day on the entire trip. For a person who only has short days but wants to take a trekking experience in Annapurna, short days trekking up to Ghorepani Poonhill is the best one. Our trekking trail leads toward Annapurna Base Camp from here. Spend nights at Tadapani, Chhomrung, Deurali, and Machhapuchhre base camps and finally reach Annapurna Base Camp. Our trekking then descends the same way back to Chhomrong and takes a different way to Jhinu, where can enjoy bathing at a natural hot spring. After another full day of walking, we reach the Deurali starting point of Mardi Himal.     

    Mardi Himal Trekking

    Mardi Himal region is less crowded compared to the route of Annapurna Base Camp. Dense Rhododendron forests are up to the bottom of the Himalayas. Very simple guest houses have been established in this area since Mardi Himal Trekking is a newly opened area. Trekking easily reaches at almost the same height 4,000 meters at Mardi Himal Base Camp and back to Lawang village. Lawang village is a homestay destination very near Pokhara. You can enjoy your stay with warm welcome people and get to touch their cultural activities. After long trekking days, you will get a relaxing time in Pokhara. You also have the option to stay another day here and take a short flight (25 minutes) back to Kathmandu.

    • Day 02:Day in Kathmandu. Sightseeing and trip preparation. Overnight at hotel

      After your breakfast, our tour guide leads you to sightseeing around Kathmandu valley. We cover three major highlights which are UNESCO heritage sites. Bhaktapur Durbar Squire, Old king palace with living arts and architectures. Bauddhanath Stupa, A biggest Buddhist stupa. Pashupatinath temple, a Biggest Hindu temple. Come back to hotel and final preparation of trekking. Introduce with your guide and porter

    • Day 03:Drive to Pokhara (6/7 Hours) 827m. Overnight at Hotel

      Early morning breakfast in your Hotel. Take a Tourist bus to Pokhara about 6-7 hour drive via scenic Prithivi Highway enjoying short stops for lunch and scenic beauty all the way around. check in to the hotel, after freshen up, you will be free to explore Lakeside Pokhara. In Option you can take private car (6 Hours) or flight (25 minutes) to make comfortable trip 

    • Day 04:Drive to Nayapool and Trek to Ulleri (7 Hours - 1960m) Overnight at tea house

      Drive 1 and half hour to Nayapool, start trekking for 5 hours through river, local villages and forest. It is flat and easy walking till Tikkhedhunga (1540m). Than our walking reach to one of the tough uphill towards Ulleri (1960m). Annapurna South and Himchuli view just spectacular from here. Check in local tea house. 

    • Day 05:Trek to Ghodepani (4 hours - 2860m). Overnight at tea house

      Ulleri its self is magnificent view of Annapurna South and Himchuli. Our walking about one hour through Ulleri and Banthanti village. We than enter very dick forest where we can see some beautiful waterfall. We reach Ghorepani (2860m) by our lunch time. Take your lunch at local tea house. It is depending on us, we might walk to Poonhill (3210m) to view sunset with and panoramic Himalayas. 

    • Day 06:Morning hike to Poonhill (3210m) and trek to Tadapani (6 Hours - 2500m) overnight at tea house

      We again can hike to Poonhill early in the morning. From here you will see a superb view of the sunrise and a panoramic view of the Himalaya, including Mt. Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Fishtail, and others. After visiting Poonhill, we will come back to Ghorepani, have a hot breakfast, and continue walking to Tadapani 

    • Day 07:Trek to Chhomrong (2140m) or Sinuwa (6/7 Hours - 2310m) Overnight at tea house

      Trek from Tadapani to Chhomrung (2140m) – 5 Hours or we can reach at Sunuwa, which is helpful to be acclimatize your body in high-altitude. We start our steep downhill walk today through the forests of rhododendrons. Leaving Tadapani and descending through the forests, we reach Gurung village of Gurjung as the trail eases. After Gurjung, we eventually walk to Chhomrung which at the elevation of 2140m. Steep down from Chommorong till River and immediately up after crossing suspension bridge to reach Sinuwa. 

    • Day 08:Trek to Deurali (5 Hours - 3150m). Overnight at tea house

      Following a mild descent, we then again move uphill as we climb until Durali which is some 3150 meters from the sea level. We cross several tea houses on the way. It takes around five hours to reach Durali from Sinuwa or 7 hours to reach from Chhomorng. Tea houses in this region is limited. We sometimes have to compromise room with some of other trekkers.

    • Day 09:Trek to Annapurna Base Camp (5/6 Hours - 4210m) Overnight at tea house

      Today we climb and past the Machhapuchhre Base Camp. From here another one and half hours ascend reach at Annapurna Base Camp. This area is called the Annapurna Sanctuary since it is totally surrounded by mountains. Offers spectacular mountain views including Massive Annapurna I (8091m) and Annapurna glacier

    • Day 10:Trek back to Bamboo (5/6 Hours - 2345m) Overnight at tea house

      Morning exploration of ABC. After breakfaskt, trek down to Bamboo by following the same trekking trail. Altitude drops by 1700m to the bank of Modi Khola to Bamboo at 2345m. Several tea houses are providing accommodation and foods here.

    • Day 11:Trek to Jhinu Danda (6/7 Hours - 1780m) Overnight at tea house

      Trekking trail follow the same until Chhomrong. Passing through Rhododendron and bamboo forest. From Chhomrong the trail descends very steeply to the Jhinu Danda. You can enjoy natural hot spring bath here.

    • Day 12:Trek to Deurali (6/7 Hours - 2,232m) Overnight at tea house

      Starting trail ascend to Modi Khola and make flat through bank of River. Ascend to Landruk village which can be ideal place to take your lunch. trail become flat land. Local settlement with their daily activities in interesting in this section. An hours serious uphill inside dense forest finally reach at Deurali. There are only 2/3 local tea houses here. Place is quite without any crowd and disturbance 

    • Day 13:Trek deurali to FOREST CAMP (2,600m - 5 hrs). overnight at local tea house

      After breakfast in tea house, heading toward forested trail. From Deurali, we leave off the main Annapurna Base Camp Trekking trail. Since this is new trekking destination, there are no tea houses along the way and we need to carry pack lunch and sufficient water. The day’s walk in the rhododendron forest is beautiful with gradual uphill. Reach at Forest camp and overnight. 

    • Day 14:Trek Forest camp to Badal Danda (3,250m - 3/4 Hours) Overnight at tea house

      The trail gradually climbs through the rhododendron forest following the ridge. The view of Mt Fishtail and Mardi Himal appears much closer with other mountains. We cross low camp with several tea houses. One more hours walking react at Badal Danda (Cloud Hill) from here. There is only one tea house in Badal Danda. 

    • Day 15:Short Trek to High camp (3,550m - 3 Hours) overnight at tea house

      The trail further climbs along the ridge towards Mardi Himal and Mt Fishtail. we leave the tree line and arrive in shrubby alpine zone. Snow capped peaks of Annapurna South, Huinchuli and Fishtail looms in a distance above deep valley on the either side. High camp is a small pasture after the climb with 3 lodges. Here you find yourself above the clouds and closer to snow capped peaks. 

    • Day 16:Trek to Mardi Himal base camp (4,500m - 7/8 Hours) and return to High Camp for overnight

      The day trip is more difficult than other days with steep climb and longer walk. Trail becomes more vertiginous at some points with uneven and steep rocky steps. The first steep climb will take about 2 hrs to the ridge top which is marked as MBC (Mardi Himal Base Camp). However the real base camp will take about another 2 hrs along the ridge. The view is amazing all along the ridge. While Mardi Himal and Mt Fishtail appear right above us, view of Annapurna I, Gangapurna and Annapurna III also appears at a distance. 

    • Day 17:Trek back to Forest Camp (4/5 Hours) Overnight at tea house

      After your breakfast, trekking same way back to Forest amp today. The scenery is stationary, season and sunlight makes it different and interesting. Spend another morning watching the change that the sun rays bring. 

    • Day 18:Trek back to Lawang village (1,550m - 4/5 Hours). Overnight at local home stay

      The trail climbs down steeply through rhododendron and Maple forest to the permanent settlements closer to valley basin. Lwang is a self sufficient Gurung village with rich culture and happy people. The village is the best place to watch Nepalese countryside lifestyle and enjoy the organic food. The village farmers also grow organic tea in 50 hectors of land. Farmers offer home stay accommodation. Feel warm hospitality here 

    • Day 19:Trek and drive back to Pokhara. Sightseeing and overnight at hotel

      Trek down to the Mardi River basin and drive back to Pokhara. It will take about 1 ½ hrs to get to Pokhara in a 4WD. The first 1 hr is drive on the dirt road. Check in Hotel and rest for while. Sightseeing around major attraction of Pokhara. Boating in Fewa Lake, International Mountain museum, David falls and Gupteswor Mahadev cave 

    • Day 20:Drive back to Kathmandu (6 Hours) Overnight at hotel

      You have option to spend more time in Pokhara and fly back to Kathmandu at evening. Or late start with you private car. If you drive back with regular tourist bus, have to be ready at 06:30 after your breakfast in Hotel. Reach at Kathmandu by late afternoon and transfer to hotel.
