    The Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) Trekking known as Annapurna Sanctuary Trek is classical trekking in Nepal. Trek is passing through the ethnic village and Rhododendron forest. Natural city Pokhara from where you will get a superb view of panoramic Himalayas is the trekking starting and ending point. Start trekking from 710 meters to reach 4200 meters at Annapurna Base Camp within short days. Massive Himalayas just in front of you from base camp including the world’s tenth highest peak Annapurna I.

    You will get enough time to prepare for your trekking in Kathmandu after visiting some interesting monuments of arts and architectures (The UNESCO Heritage sites). We then fly to Natural City Pokhara. Green hills, beautiful lakes, and Panoramic Himalayas at Pokhara itself feel a different world. We plan to cross the muddy road by driving. We cross flat land crossing several ethnic villages reach Tikhedhunga by driving and trekking to Ulleri village for our first overnight. Follow the Modi riverside route with dense forest with flora and fauna. Forest with blooming Rhododendrons in the spring season makes this trail really beautiful. After another day gradually up the ABC Trekking route and reached at Ghorepani, the base camp of 3210-meter high Poonhill to view the best sunrise with massive Himalaya surroundings. Cross other villages like Tadapani, Chhomrong, Sinuwa, Bamboo, Deurali, Dovan, Himalaya and reach Macchapuchre Base Camp. Till the time massive Annapurna and other mountains are just in front of you. After two hours of hiking reach Annapurna Base Camp (4200m). Staying one night there and exploring evening and morning views of Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Macchapuchre (Fishtail) Himchuli, and other peaks. Trek back up to Chhomrong by following the same way and take a different way to Jhinu, enjoy bathing at the Natural hot spring here. The next day jeep drive reaches Pokhara overnight. 

    Annapurna base camp Trekking not only mountain and nature but also have experience of different ethnical Nepali peoples. They warmly welcomed peoples from villagers and get closer explore of those ethnic peoples. The entire ABC trek is with the accommodation of a local tea house. Since certain tea houses were allowed to build by Annapurna Conservation, a lack of accommodation may arise at peak season time, after Chhomrong.    

    Annapurna Sanctuary Trekking

    The best season of Annapurna Sanctuary Trekking is from March to May and Sept to November; however, the winter months of December, January, and February are still possible to Trek. Entire tea houses are open throughout the year. You also can add other activities to this trek. Jungle safari in Chitawan or Bardia National Park, white water rafting, Paragliding, Bungee Jumping, and many others.

    • Day 02:Day in Kathmandu. Sightseeing and trip preparation. Overnight at hotel

      After your breakfast, our tour guide leads you to sightseeing around Kathmandu valley. We cover three major highlights which are UNESCO heritage sites. Bhaktapur Durbar Squire, Old king palace with living arts and architectures. Bauddhanath Stupa, A biggest Buddhist stupa. Pashupatinath temple, a Biggest Hindu temple. Come back to hotel and final preparation of trekking. Introduce with your guide and porter 

    • Day 03:Fly to Pokhara at morning and drive to Ulleri for overnight (5 Hours) Overnight at tea house

      After your breakfast in the Hotel, we drive to Kathmandu domestic airport to fly Pokhara. It is only 25 minutes flight. After reaching at Pokhara airport, we start to drive with  Jeep to Ulleri village for our first night stay. Drive passing through the local villages and paddy fields. You will explore views of Annapurna south and Mount Himchuli from this village. 

    • Day 04:Trek to Ghodepani (4 hours - 2860m). Overnight at tea house

      Ulleri its self is magnificent view of Annapurna South and Himchuli. Our walking about one hour through Ulleri and Banthanti village. We than enter very dick forest where we can see some beautiful waterfall. We reach Ghorepani (2860m) by our lunch time. Take your lunch at local tea house. It is depending on us, we might walk to Poonhill (3210m) to view sunset with and panoramic Himalayas. 

    • Day 05:Morning hike to Poonhill (3210m) and trek to Tadapani (6 Hours - 2500m) overnight at tea house

      We again can hike to Poonhill early in the morning. From here you will see a superb view of the sunrise and a panoramic view of the Himalaya, including Mt. Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Fishtail, and others. After visiting Poonhill, we will come back to Ghorepani, have a hot breakfast, and continue walking to Tadapani

    • Day 06:Trek to Chhomrong (2140m) or Sinuwa (6/7 Hours - 2310m) Overnight at tea house

      Trek from Tadapani to Chhomrung (2140m) – 5 Hours or we can reach at Sunuwa, which is helpful to be acclimatize your body in high-altitude. We start our steep downhill walk today through the forests of rhododendrons. Leaving Tadapani and descending through the forests, we reach Gurung village of Gurjung as the trail eases. After Gurjung, we eventually walk to Chhomrung which at the elevation of 2140m. Steep down from Chommorong till River and immediately up after crossing suspension bridge to reach Sinuwa. 

    • Day 07:Trek to Deurali (5 Hours - 3150m). Overnight at tea house

      Following a mild descent, we then again move uphill as we climb until Durali which is some 3150 meters from the sea level. We cross several tea houses on the way. It takes around five hours to reach Durali from Sinuwa or 7 hours to reach from Chhomorng. Tea houses in this region is limited. We sometimes have to compromise room with some of other trekkers. 

    • Day 08:Trek to Annapurna Base Camp (5/6 Hours - 4210m) Overnight at tea house

      Today we climb and past the Machhapuchhre Base Camp. From here another one and half hours ascend reach at Annapurna Base Camp. This area is called the Annapurna Sanctuary since it is totally surrounded by mountains. Offers spectacular mountain views including Massive Annapurna I (8091m) and Annapurna glacier 

    • Day 09:Trek back to Bamboo (5/6 Hours - 2345m) Overnight at tea house

      Morning exploration of ABC. After breakfaskt, trek down to Bamboo by following the same trekking trail. Altitude drops by 1700m to the bank of Modi Khola to Bamboo at 2345m. Several tea houses are providing accommodation and foods here

    • Day 10:Trek to Jhinu Danda (6/7 Hours - 1780m) Overnight at tea house

      Trekking trail follow the same until Chhomrong. Passing through Rhododendron and bamboo forest. From Chhomrong the trail descends very steeply to the Jhinu Danda. This village is our last night stay in the trekking area. You can enjoy natural hot spring bath at the evening in the bank of Modi River.  

    • Day 11:Drive to Pokhara by Jeep (4 Hours)

      It is about 30 minutes walking to the jeep station. We than drive to Nayapool and continue to Pokhara. Yu will reach Pokhara at lunch hour. Rest of the time is free for you after checking in the Hotel. 

    • Day 12:Day in Pokhara. Sightseeing and Evening flight back to Kathmandu. Overnight at Hotel

      Sightseeing in Pokhara valley today. Boating at Fewa Lake and visit Tal barahi temple at the middle of lake. Visit David falls, Gupteswor Mahadev Cave and International mountain museum. Drive to Pokhara airport and fly back to Kathmandu. Transfer to the Hotel and overnight 

    • Day 13:Departure

      Till derature time, free and drive to International airport for your final departure

    Useful Information

    Accommodation in the trip
    Our package is including 5 nights hotel in Kathmandu and in Pokhara. It is 3 star category hotels with breakfast and on twin sharing. Accommodation in entire trekking is in local tea houses (Local guest house) on twin sharing. You will get rooms with inside toilet only in few places. Most of the overnights are in room without toilet inside. All the tea houses are providing common toilets outside your room. Annapurna Base Camp Trekking region may have over flow of trekkers in peak season, in that situation, you may share common room with other trekkers. It may happen in few places like Deurali, Annapurna Base amp and in Bamboo.  

    Foods in the trip
    Kathmandu and Pokhara have lots of restaurants to choose for your Lunch and Dinner. Breakfast is including in the package that is provided by same hotel you are staying. During your trekking, same tea houses you are going to stay provide you breakfast and Dinner. Lunch is on the way at suitable place. All the foods during trekking is including in the packages. Hotel and restaurants provide you international standard foods in entire Trekking. It is suggest choosing vegetarian foods after crossing Deurali and Himalaya. Sacrify animals are not allow in this region and meet are not fresh since they bring meet from Chhomrong.  

    Guide and Porter
    Your guide to the Trekking is from Kathmandu. He is the one who will be our regular guide more responsible, friendly, and helpful English speaking. You will meet them in Kathmandu before starting your trek. 2 trekkes = 1 porter. Porter is able to carry total 25 kilogram. Both guide and porters are fully equipped, insured and package including their foods, accommodation on the way. Trekking guides are those who can communicate with you and local peoples and having enough knowledge of local places, peoples, their cultures and having knowledge of high altitude sickness.

    Drinking Water during Trekking
    Drinking water is extra cost from package. During the trek it is available bottled mineral water, boiled water fill in your own bottle from every tea houses or can use even normal water from Tap. Bottled mineral water is available in every guest houses, shops in entire Trekking. As you hike high altitude, cost of bottled mineral water and boil filtered water increase. Water from local taps can be also used as drinking water by purification with purification tablet and filter it yourself. Most of the trekkers are drinking bottled mineral water and boiled filtered water. Trekkers are using local tap water rarely.  

    Equipment list
    You do not need to bring whole equipments from your home country. Good trekking equipments with reasonable cost are available in Kathmandu. We can suggest you to buy those after we check it in hotel before starting of trekking. Representative from Nepal Highland Treks or your guide can provide you good suggestion. Our itinerary has enough time to be prepared with your proper equipment.

    First Aid Kit Medicines 
    In every trekking package, our guide will carry first aid kit box containing medicines of anti altitude, anti Diarrhea, pain relief, Antibiotic, anti cold, anti vomiting, anti headache, fever, bandages, handplast and anti septic lotion . If you are taking any regular medicine that is compulsory to bring yourself.

    Some Dos and Dont’s during Annapurna Base Camp Trekking
    Trekking route of Annapurna is unspoiled and exotic land which is sensitive. Treat the land and local peoples with care and respect.  Try your best to keep environment clean and show appreciation for culture and traditional religious beliefs.
    Make Annapurna region litter free: Do not through any litter; put it in dustbin fixed by national park or in local tea houses. Sanitary napkins and tampons should be wrapped properly and through it right place. Take batteries back to your home country for safe disposal or reuse.   
    Respect local cultures, custom and peoples: Route of Annapurna region is combination of different cultural ethnic group of local peoples. Their culture, customs, living style and any function is typical and it is important for them. So respect all these while you are there. You can involve respectfully in those function.   
    Take your guide with you in every hiking and climbing: our guide will be always with your while trekking every days. You are trekking and hiking in remote areas with maximum altitude. Few days in the itinerary are as acclimatization day and hiking around for recovering stamina. Take your guide with you in all these activities. It is Himalaya and do not be more exited, take advice from guide to take any decision.  
    Do not through foods after order: Foods are all carried by helicopter or flight from Kathmandu. It takes a week time to reach all the foods in base camp site. It is not with any other transportation but carried by peoples or donkey.  It is important that you order only sufficient food which you can finish. Do not waste any foods in the region.

    How to get Nepal Visa and its cost?
    Visa for Nepal is available on your arrival. Since you trip is 21 days, it is suggest to take a month visa which cost USD 50 per person. You only need your original passport and cash (any currency).    

    Itinerary of Annapurna Base Camp Trekking is general itinerary. You can customize it as per your interest and time frame. You also have option to add some short activities without extending days. White water rafting in Trisuli River, Paragliding, Bungee jumping, Zip flyer in Pokhara, Mountain flight.  

    The cost of the trip is as standard trekking package including 3 star category accommodations in main cities ie, Kathmandu and Pokhara. It also have option to choose 4 star or 5 stars accommodation in Kathmandu Pokhara or even less category hotels in those places to make your cost less. The accommodation on the way trekking so not have option to upgrading.
