    Visit Dochula Pass in Bhutan 

    Dochula Pass is ideal location to capture beautiful pictures of Himalayan mountain range during clear, warm days. The Dochula Pass is a mountain pass of 3,100 miters altitude. The snow-covered Himalayas within Bhutan on the road from Thimpu to Punakha where 108 memorial chortens or stupas known as "Druk Wangyal Chortens" have been built. Stop car over the pass, making round of 108 Chortens, and hike up to the Gumba to good view of 108 Chortens and take hot drinks at cafeteria.

    Hike to Tiger Nest during your 5 days Bhutan Tour 

    It is memorial hike. After visiting Thimpu and Punakha valley we hike Taktsang monastery (Tiger Nest) on day fourth. The total hiking time to reach the Tiger's Nest (Paro Taktsang) is about 3 hours from the bottom. The hike up to Cafeteria is halfway of hiking, it takes about one and a half hours to reach the cafeteria. Serious up hill hike for 2 hours and one more hour is easy hiking. Coming down is another 2 hours so that total hiking duration is 5 hours for normal hikers. It could be less hours or even more, depends on your hiking speed. Total hiking is 6.4 kilometers. It gain 518 meters to reach upto 3120 meters top of Toger Nest Monastery. For those who feel difficult to walk up hill, can hire a horse from the bottom. Your Guide will assist you to take a horse. You can sit somewhat comfortably on horseback to reach the cafeteria about mid-way up the trail, then continue hiking from there. To descend the mountain though, you will have to do it on foot. Horse does not ride safely back at down hill. Hiring a horse cost is USD 20

      Upon your arrival in Paro airport our guide will be there to welcome you and transfer to Thimphu. Lunch in the hotel and later drive pass by Memorial Chorten (temple) built in memory of the late 3rd King. Visit Changangkha Lhakhang, the oldest temple in the valley offering a nice view of the valley. Enclosure where national animal, Takins are kept and drive to visit the largest and newly built statue of Buddha offering magnificent view of entire Thimphu valley

    • Day 02:Sightseeing in Thimpu, latter drive to Dochula Pass (3,200m). Sights spectacular mountain view from the pass and walking around 108 Chortern, Drive to Punakha and Overnight at Hotel

      Morning visit the traditional Hand Made Paper Mill, School of Arts and Crafts where students learn 13 different arts used predominantly in Bhutan, Folk Heritage Museum, National Library and the Traditional Institute of Medicine. Drive to the Zilukha nunnery to meet the nuns and interact with them. Lunch in the town and drive to Punakha through Dochula pass (3200 miters) If the weather permits one can enjoy a spectacular view of the highest mountains of Bhutan at a sight that stretches almost 180 degrees. Walk around the 108 Chortern and continue drive to sub tropical valley Punakha. 

    • Day 03:Visit Punakha. Biggest Punakha Dzong, Local craft market, Chhimi Lakhang (Temple of fertility) and drive back to Thimpu. Overnight at Hotel

      Morning drive to visit Punakha Dzong, which houses the most elaborated temple in the country. This is a fine example of Bhutanese rich Art and Architecture. Drive further up to visit the Souvenir Making Center for girls supported by Youth Development Fund. Interact with the students and back to the hotel for lunch. After lunch could relax in the balcony of the hotel to enjoy the view and the nature. Or could go for an hour hike to the temple of Khamsum Yuley Lakhang or the temple of Chimi Lakhang, the temple of fertility associated with religious art of phallus. After lunch we drive back to THimpu again via Dochula pass  

    • Day 04:Drive to Paro. Hike to Tiger Nest (Taktsang Monastery - 3,120m), visit Ta Dzong and Overnight at Hotel in Paro

      Drive back to Paro valley and further drive to hiking starting point to Tiger Nest. it is about 6 hours hiking reach at rocky mountain. Hiking is self and have option to hire a horse. Hike back to Paro valley. after lunch visit Ta Dzong aand back to hotel for overnight 

    • Day 05:Departure from Paro

      After breakfast in Hotel, drive to Paro airport for your fly back
