One must carry a backpack that they think will be comfortable enough for them to sustain throughout the whole trip. Shoes: Tourists are encouraged to carry a trekking boot with them whenever they are going to places that are damp and rocky. Trekking boots can be worn almost in all the major trekking destinations in Nepal including the EBC. A normal warm trekking boot is enough to trek Everest during spring and Autumn. It is also better if those trekking boots are waterproof. If you are trekking Everest during winter, it needs to be warmer and waterproof. Other light warm shoes are also better to bring using the morning and evening while staying in a lodge.   

Jacket & raincoats: Windproof jacket which is made up of super light material and which has a lot of pockets in them is considered very important when it comes to Trekking. One must carry a windproof jacket & raincoat with them all the time on their trek as it is essential when the temperature drops. A pair of windproof jacket and another warm enough jacket is important to pack during this trek. A raincoat is also important trekking equipment in case of rain and icefall. It should belong from head till below your knees by covering your day backpack  

Sleeping Bags: Sleeping bags are something that no tourist should forget when it comes to trekking. It is required when a traveler is accustomed to spending their nights in chill spaces like Gorakhchep, Lobuche, and Pheriche. During the main trekking season, the Everest region is full of trekkers. Providing enough blankets by the lodge owner is sometimes not enough. It is better to bring a minus 30 sleeping bags with you. Only sleeping back may not be enough during the winter on Everest, have to bring a sleeping bag inner or ask the hotel to provide another blanket to put on top of the sleeping bag.  

Hi-neck and inner thermal: Keeping you warm, you need to bring 2 pairs of hi-neck and inner thermal. It should be suitable in minus temperature.

T-shirt and paint: You are also trekking in hot temperatures during this trek. 2 pairs of T-shirts and another 2 pairs of light trousers or half paint are required to bring with you. A pair of windproof trousers are also required bringing for cold temperatures.  

Cap and shocks: Warm head cover cap for cold temperature and a hat to protect from the sun during walking during the daytime are important to include in your packing list. Two pairs of warm shocks and light shocks are on your list of important packing.  

Glove and Muff: Warm hand gloves especially for Kalapathar climbing at very early in the morning and in minus temperature, muff to cover your mouth including lips to protect from heavy wind and dust.

Water Bottle: Everyone must carry a water bottle when they are trekking as the availability of water isn’t always promised when it comes to the EBC. They are advised to fill the water bottle up whenever they have access to clean drinking water. At least one litter water bottle to keep warm water and another one-liter water bottle to keep cold water.

Sunblock: Sunscreen is a vital part of everyone’s routine. So it is recommended for tourists to carry sunscreen with at least 30 SPF as the sun’s UVB rays might cause one’s skin to burn.

First Aid: Everyone should carry a first aid kit with items like cotton pads, scissors, cleansing wipes, sticky tapes, antiseptic cream, eyewash, bandages, and distilled water when they are going on a trek, so if and when they meet up with a medical emergency they can quickly act on it.

Photocopy of identification card/s: This is required when they are questioned to prove their identity when they reach their destination so that they can easily access things around them. Most of the trekkers bring original passports which are not necessary but they can bring a copy of it and put the original in the safety locker in your Hotel Kathmandu.

Insurance copy: It is also important to keep your insurance copy in your handbag so you can get contact them immediately if you need any emergency evacuation.

Hand Sanitizer: Clean water isn’t always available, and you might not able to wash your hand properly in a cold situation so a person must use hand sanitizer when they are required to be clean and germs-free.

Dry Food: Carrying light foods like bars, nuts, and dry meat is suggested to trekkers who are walking a long trip so that they can get instantly energized when they eat it.

Tissue paper and wet wipes: Tissue paper and wet wipes are essential toiletry items. Everyone must pack it in their bags whenever they are going on long treks.

Knife & torch: One must carry a small knife with them at all costs in case of cutting. And the torch is mainly required in the evenings as it gets dark quickly in almost all parts of Nepal. Few places of Everest trekking only have sun power electricity and can be down when there is no sun. During the dark time, it is important for trekkers to use torchlight.

Trekking poles: This is important if you are used to walking with trekking poles. You can take 2 polls or can walk with only one pole. It is a good supporter in downhill and uphill of Everest base camp trekking route. .   

Other accessories Headlamp with enough battery, Camera and its battery, Chargers of your phone and camera, lip care, Toilet papers, Toothbrush add paste, Washing shop, bath shampoo, Quick-dry towel
