What are the health protocols that you need to follow while trekking in Nepal?
The Ministry of Tourism is responsible for implementing some new health protocol policies in response to the increasing number of COVID cases as well as the modularity of lockdown. If you are visiting Nepal from another country, the following are some rules and regulations that you must follow before entering the country.

  • Tourists should arrive in Nepal with a COVID-19 negative validation report within 72 hours. They must be having taken a double dose of anti-KOVID vaccination; tourists should bring a vaccination proof letter or vaccination card. On arrival, a visa is provided for those tourists.
  • For the non-vaccine tourist, they should land in Nepal with PCR negative within 72 hours. They should stay in 10 days quarantine in Nepal once they arrived. Following the 10-day quarantine period, you must perform a PCR test. If you test positive, you must remain in one of the isolation centers or hospitals designated by CCMC.
  • Children under the age of five, parents with infants, and people over the age of 70 must have the Antigen Test. If the report is negative, it must be quarantined for ten days unless the PCR test results are negative. If the report is positive, the patient will be immediately transferred to an isolation center.
  • CCMC Nepal is in charge of testing, monitoring, and treatment of all the passengers.
