    Lhasa Everest Base Camp Motorbike Tour

    Arrive direct in Lhasa city from any Chinese town flying to Lhasa airport or train to there. Hire a bike in Lhasa city and take part of the tour. End of this tour at Lhasa again. You will have opportunity to explore Lhasa city with two days time. This is also the way to make acclimatization in the high altitude. Ride to other Tibetan cities Gyantse and Shigatse. Tingri the small Tibetan city is the entrance of Everest Base Camp north site 5200 meters. Entire tour is staying in the hotels and guest houses. The last guest houses nearby Everest base camp is Ronbuk 5000 meters, which is the highest elevation of accommodate. Riding back the same way back to Lhasa and end the tour.

    • Day 01:Arrival in Lhasa city. Pickup you from train station of from Gonggar airport. Transfer to the Hotel and overnight 3700 meters

    • Day 02:Day in Lhasa, Visit the main monuments with our guide. Overnight in the Hotel

      Visit the main monasteries and Palace today. We do not ride motorbike today but drive with car to visit Potala palace, Jokhang temple, Barkhor squire and Sera Monastery. Late afternoon, test riding with your motorbike and get ready to ride from tomorrow. Back to hotel and overnight 

    • Day 03:Lhasa to Gyantse motorbike via Yamdrok lake 260km (6 Hours) Overnight at Hotel

      Ride through the Tibetan highway towards Gyantse city today. Gyantse is the third-largest town of Tibet and still maintains the ancient Tibetan characters. The journey involves the crossing of two high passes the Kamba La 4785 meters and the Karo La 5030 meters and follows the shores of Yamdrok Tso Lake for more than 40 miles. Yamdrok Tso Lake is one of the four holiest lakes in Tibet and has beautiful turquoise water. As you leave the lakeshore behind, the road climbs to Karo La, once again offering breathtaking views of the mountain and vast Tibetan plateau. Further ride to Gyantse and check in Hotel 

    • Day 04:Visit the monasteries and ride to Shigatse (90km - 3 Hours) Overnight in Hotel

      Visit the Pelkor Chode and Kumbum Monastery-the main highlights of Gyantse after your breakfast in the Hotel. Short riding tour to Shigatse from Gyantse, another visit is to the second largest monastery in Shigatse (Tashilampo). Tashilunbo Monastery is the principal seat of Panchen Lama- the second most revered religious leader of Tibet after the Dalai Lama. Tashilunbo is also among the six major Gelugpa Monasteries of Tibet. Take a relaxing walk through Shigatse's Flea market. It is an excellent bargain place to buy a Tibetan souvenir and explore the local Tibetan movements.  

    • Day 05:Shigatse to Tingri Ride (274 km - 6 Hours) Overnight in the Guest House

      We will drive to Tingri lying 4150m high from Shigatse. We will drive crosswise all along the Friendship Highway where the charming backdrop comes into view. We will also drive along a small town named- Lhatse and also traverse Gyamtso La pass located at the elevation of 5220m. En-route, we will also get the opportunity to visit Natang Monastery which is set 12 km far from Shigaste. Also, we will drive to Sakya Monastery. After driving for around 6 hours on this day, we will finally reach Tingri. 

    • Day 06:Tingri to Ronbuk Monastery (138 km - 5 Hours) Overnight in Guest House

      We will ride to south direction traversing the Pang La pass 5150 meters, which rewards with a wonderful sight of Himalaya ranges extending to Shishapangma from Makalu. Going across the pass, we will enter the Rongbuk Valley where the charismatic view of Everest comes into sight. We will also visit popular Rongbuk Monastery, a holy Buddhist site established by Nyingmapa Lama in 1902 where we can also see meditation huts used by monks and solitary person for more than 400 years.

    • Day 07:Everest base camp exploration and riding back to Tingri for overnight

      Our bikes are only allow to ride upto Ronbuk. We than take local ECO bus to get EBC or by walking. It is one way 3 kilometers. This is the most amazing day of the entire trip. We will wake up early in the morning to witness the incredible sunrise view over the crown of Mt. Everest, the highest peak on the earth. Then, we will hike to the Everest Base Camp (5200m) to discover the charisma of the north face of highest peak and other splendid views. Back to Ronbuk monastery and riding down to Ronbuk for overnight 

    • Day 08:Riding back to Shigatse from Ronbuk (274 km - 6 Hours )

      we will ride back to Shigatse the second largest Tibetan town via same route after experiencing awe-inspiring part of the trip. Overnight at Hotel

    • Day 09:Riding back to Lhasa from Shigatse (300 km - 7 Hours) overnight at Hotel

      For the return journey to Lhasa, we will take the southern friendship highway that follows the Yarlung Tsambo River. We arrive at our hotel in Lhasa late afternoon. The rest of the time is rest in the Hotel.

    • Day 10:Departure from Lhasa

      Day of departure, we either drop you to Gonggar airport or to train station

    Useful Information

    BMW bike on hire

    Chinese BMW is only available bikes in Lhasa to hire. There are very limit bmw bikes available, so that big group operating from Lhasa is every time not possible. In this case our tour need to starts from Kathmandu Nepal. We tour company will be responsibility to arrange the bike on hire either from Lhasa Tibet of from Kathmandu Nepal.

    Tibet motorbiking visa and permits

    The remaining validity of your passport must be a minimum of six months after your trip. Make sure you have enough blank visa pages for visa sticker, entry and departure seals. Travelling from your country to Tibet Lhasa is through mainland China, so that you should apply for a Chinese visa in your country and provide us a copy of the visa and photo page of the passport a minimum of 45 days before your trip date. We will obtain your Tibet entry permit at Lhasa and will ship it to your hotel address in mainland China. (You should overnight there for a night) Tibetan tourism does not allow shipping permits to the foreign address. You will need to present the original permit to get on the flight to Lhasa. Besides Entry Permit, there will be a few other permits that your Guide will be holding for you.

    Riding Tibet from Nepal

    Mostly riding tour to Tibet begins from Kathmandu Nepal. Avability of bikes on hire, Mechanic and the riding guide, Nepal is the best to begin Everest Base Camp and Lhasa Motorbiking. Start riding from Kathmandu Nepal, riders do not need to stamp Chinese visa in your passport from your country. All the permit and visa procedure is looking after by us. But there will be 4 days waiting for the final approval of the Tibet travel visa. In these four days of visa waiting, we doing heritage tours and test riding tours around the valley.
